Another step towards the realization of a circular economy
The development of the Jáger group is another step towards the realization of a circular economy – said the Minister of Agriculture at the handover of the KPE pipe production equipment realized as part of the complex irrigation technology development of the company on Thursday in Herend.
István Nagy stated: irrigation technological developments affect not only the competitiveness of agriculture, but also the future of all of us. The irrigation technology system of the Jáger group, which has a decades-long history in the field of innovative plastic recycling – which is further developed and expanded by the high-capacity KPE pipe production equipment – helps in using water as efficiently as possible – the head of the ministry added. The Minister of Agriculture pointed out that the intensive farming made it necessary to use various plastic products, such as irrigation tapes, mulch films, plastic bags used for packaging or plastic binding twine. After they have been used up, they can be used again to make a usable product, so recycling the collected agricultural plastics is no longer a problem – stressed István Nagy. According to his information, the Jáger group’s first patent related to recycling dates back to 2013, and after that, new products appeared one after another, which thanks to the new technologies not only contributed to the widespread spread of sustainable farming, but also became a useful tool for families, for industry and agriculture. Among these, the Minister of Agriculture mentioned the lawn grid, the plastic space covering element, the carpet to facilitate standing and the snow catching net.
With its innovative technology, the Jáger group offered a quick and efficient solution for the utilization of the enormous amount of film waste generated by farmers – said István Nagy
In the Cycle with Farmers program, Green Technology Kft. created collection points for agricultural foil waste, and at the same time, the production of drip irrigation systems made from waste started at Jáger. With the expansion of the research and development activity, a material testing laboratory was also established. The accredited laboratory of Jag-Lab Kft. operates at the site in Herend, which, as one of the institutions with the highest level of technology in the region, helps the implementation of the circular economy – indicated the Minister of Agriculture. Péter Ovádi, the Fidesz parliamentary representative of the region, praised the activities of the Jáger group and called it exemplary how they went from manufacturing electrical cabinets to innovations. László Csatári, managing director of the Jáger Group, spoke about the importance of cooperation between agriculture and industry. He emphasized: their goal was to ensure that people do not throw away used plastic products or burn them, but bring them back to them “so that the material can be revived”. they produce plastic pipes up to 50 millimeters in diameter with high-performance KPE pipe production equipment.
