More than two thousand people applied for the worker’s loan in one month
The worker’s loan is becoming increasingly popular: in the almost one month since its introduction, more than two thousand people have applied for it, and in several hundred cases the loan has already been disbursed – said Veronika Varga-Bajusz, the State Secretary for Higher Education, Vocational and Adult Training, and Youth of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation on the M1 current affairs channel on Friday.
She reminded that the four million forint worker’s loan option is available to young people leaving high school and starting a career, and they can use the money freely, so they can also use it to start their business or improve their living conditions.
The repayment installment is around 33-35 thousand forints, which is affordable and a good help for young people – she said. She believed that young people are consciously preparing for the opportunity, in which the applicant receives a 2-year deferment in repayment after the birth of their first child, half of the loan is waived in the case of the second child, and the full amount after the third child.
The Secretary of State mentioned that more than sixty thousand people participate in dual training, and that this form of training is becoming increasingly popular. Tourism, hospitality, IT, and special vehicle manufacturing are popular professions. He noted that this form of training is increasingly connected to higher education, and students can start at university with specialized knowledge that is worth credit points.
He also mentioned that the first Excellence Gala of the Carpathian Basin Technical Schools will be held in Budapest on Friday under the title “Have a profession in your hands!”, within the framework of which the Ministry of Culture and Innovation will award the most outstanding academic and community performance of domestic and foreign technical schools.
