According to a survey, plant-based products are becoming more and more popular
The popularity of plant-based products is increasing in Hungary, according to a survey, the findings of which were reported to MTI by Danone Magyarország Kft.
More than half of the participants in the representative research conducted on behalf of the grocery company answered that they regularly consume plant-based alternatives instead of animal products (meat, milk, butter, eggs).
In Danone’s research, he looked for the answer to the extent to which Hungarian consumers take into account the environmental effects in addition to the nutritional benefits when purchasing food.
Every fifth (19 percent) consumer consciously replaces meat- or milk-based foods with plant-based alternatives on occasion, 8 percent eat meat less than once a week.
