Magazine: Most Hungarians are convinced that organic food products are healthier
84 out of 100 Hungarian consumers think that organic products are healthier, 70 reckon that by eating organic food they do not consume pesticide residue and other poisons – revealed a global Nielsen survey. People said: organic products are not genetically modified, by buying these they help local farmers, organic food is more nourishing and tastes better. In Hungary only every eighth consumer buys organic products more or less frequently, the European average is every third. Those who do not buy organic said these products are too expensive; it is also true that one quarter of Hungarians do not have access to shops where organic products are sold (in Europe only every eighth consumer is in a similar situation).
