The events sector produced healthy growth in 2024
The Hungarian Advertising Association (MRSZ) and its affiliates and partners presented the MRSZ figures measuring the spending of the media and communications market in 2024 at a joint press conference on March 27, 2025.
The revenue of the corporate event marketing market in the event sector was HUF 78.4 billion in 2024 and showed an increase of 4.3%, which means that the event sector has returned to a normal growth path after the extraordinary growth of almost 23% in 2023 – showing extreme demand following Covid. The latest international forecasts show that the demand for personal meetings will continue to strengthen in the AI-driven world. 82% of European event organizers indicated that they will organize events that require a personal presence in 2025.
With the market figures published for the 25th time this year, the aim of the MRSZ and its partner associations is to map and determine the size of the communications market every year, and to provide data that can be compared and analyzed in the long term.
The Hungarian Association of Event Organizers and Suppliers collected the 2024 spending of the corporate event marketing market for the MRSZ communication pie using a methodology similar to last year. The figures for the B2B corporate event market are an industry estimate calculated by members of the MaReSz event agency section and based on the visible figures of the most significant external market players (TOP50 agencies, of which 26 leading agencies are members of MaReSz). The figures were presented at the conference by Gábor Rókusfalvy, Managing Director of Roxer Kommunikációs Kft., Vice President of MaReSz.
