Coca-Cola's largest manufacturing base in China was handed over
U.S. Coca-Cola inaugurated its largest manufacturing base and its forty second bottling plant on Thursday, in Liaoning province, North East China.
Muhtar Kent, Coca-Cola's Chief Executive Officer told that nine production lines will be operated at the new site. He noted that it is their third factory in the province. The plant will have an annual capacity of 1.2 million bottles. The carbonated and non-carbonated products will be Sprite, Minute Maid and Ice Dew, beside traditional Coca-Cola.
The value of the investment is 1 billion yuan (35 billion HUF). The area of the complex situates in the city of Yingkou on about 170 thousand square meters. It is estimated that 500 new direct jobs will be created and about 5000 indirectly. (MTI)
