EcoVadis recognition: Lucart once again among the global sustainability leaders
Lucart, an Italian multinational paper group with a production facility in Nyergesújfalu, has been awarded the Platinum rating for the fourth consecutive year by the independent agency EcoVadis, the most prestigious recognition of corporate social responsibility. EcoVadis has so far assessed more than 150,000 companies in 250 industries and 185 countries. Only 1% of companies worldwide receive the Platinum rating. Lucart’s overall score of 89/100 – four points higher than last year – once again confirms the company’s commitment to continuous improvement.
The EcoVadis assessment is based on international sustainability standards, including the UN Global Compact, ILO, GRI, ISO 26000 and CERES principles. Its assessment covers four key areas: environment, labour practices and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Lucart achieved outstanding results in all categories: 96/100 points in environmental performance, while also receiving high ratings in the areas of social responsibility and supply chain.
This result places Lucart at the forefront of the paper industry, thanks to its strategy that combines innovation and sustainability.
“The recognition from EcoVadis encourages us to continue our journey with even greater determination, in line with what was presented in our latest Sustainability Report, and to continuously improve our performance, following our long-term vision,”
said Francesco Pasquini, CEO of Lucart.
