Dinner ticket startup
Nick Kokonas, co-owner of world top 10 Chicago restaurant Alinea, started using a ticketing system for booking tables three years ago. He has now established a startup company called Tock, to develop a ticketing system for the whole sector. Through Tock not only menu tickets can be bought but USD 5-25 deposits can also be paid or discounts can be purchased for a given date. Iconic chef Thomas Keller is among the investors behind Tock. Restaurants who wish to join will have to pay USD 695 a month.
