Duna House: an upswing is expected this year in the catering and business premises market
The improving economic situation and the continuous strengthening of tourism can bring a boom this year to the market of catering establishments and business premises, which in recent years have also been challenged by the pandemic and rising energy prices, Duna House told MTI on Friday.
They pointed out that among the owners of business premises and catering establishments, there is a rising proportion this year of those who ask for the help of the real estate broker’s experts in renting instead of selling.
The announcement quoted Benedikt Károly, head of PR and analysis at Duna House, who said that in 2022, 85 percent of the restaurant owners who asked for expert help gave an order to sell their property, 15 percent wanted to find a tenant instead of selling, and then in 2023 with 3 percentage points , the proportion of sales orders rose to 88 percent. However, based on the data of the contracts concluded this year, 17 percent of the customers, already 5 percentage points higher, decide in favor of keeping and renting.
