Life is getting costlier in Europe too
In October Eurostat recorded a 3-percent inflation level – the same as in the previous month – in the euro area. The situation is worse in the EU-27 as the rate of annual inflation was 3.4 percent in October after the 3.3 percent in September. Compared with September 2011, prices were up 0.3 percent. In the euro area the biggest price increase was in Estonia, 4.7 percent; outside the euro area inflation grew the most in the United Kingdom, by 5 percent.
