Dr. Beáta Felkai is the new deputy state secretary responsible for food chain supervision
The transformation of the organization and operation of the Ministry of Agriculture also involves personnel changes. In the spirit of this, Dr Beáta Olga Felkai, former head of the food industry department, became the Ministry’s new deputy state secretary responsible for food chain supervision, who now not only oversees the food industry, but also food trade.

Beáta Felkai
Regarding her appointment, Felkai said:
“Over the past two years, our most important task has been to preserve the safety of the food supply during the COVID-19 epidemic. In the meantime, it has become more and more important that the high-quality food industry products manufactured here are primarily prepared for domestic sale. In the new form of the organization, the trade policy has already come to us. belongs, that is, we see the needs and demands of industry and trade together – this is reflected in my new position. With this, a dynamically functioning state secretariat will help the two areas to unite. In the longer term, we will focus on increasing the efficiency, digitization and innovative developments of the food industry and trade, to support which we have adequate (in fact, more than before) financial resources”.
