Dynamic expansion in the SPAR franchise network: 19 new stores in Hungary
In the first half of 2024, the SPAR franchise network expanded with 19 new stores in Hungary, which means that the chain’s products and services are now available in 290 retailer partner stores across the country. The company’s communications manager, Márk Maczelka, emphasized that this year is an important milestone for the franchise program launched in 2012, which now provides a living for more than 3,500 trade professionals.
According to SPAR Hungary, the annual turnover of its franchise partners exceeded HUF 134 billion in 2023, which clearly shows the strength of local retail. The participating stores can benefit from logistical, educational, IT and professional assistance as well as complex marketing support provided by SPAR. In addition, the new partner stores undergo large-scale renovation and modernization in order to be able to operate in an environmentally friendly manner.
The newly opened franchise stores appeared in many cities, including Cegléd, Martonvásár, Balatonfüred, Érd, Maglód, Siófok, Baja, Debrecen, Szántód, Zalalövő, Székesfehérvár, Nagykálló, Gödöllő and Bicske, as well as several locations in Budapest. SPAR is constantly expanding its network with motivated and dedicated local entrepreneurs who meet the strict criteria and expectations.
