Dynamic face creams, primarily in drugstores
Retail sales of daily face creams and cleansers show dynamic growth of 13 per cent and have approached HUF 9 billion annually. According to the Retail Index of Nielsen, drugstores account for over 50 per cent of total sales and their market share is growing. Face creams and cleansers are one the categories showing the most dynamic expansion among the 60 categories monitored by Nielsen. Creams account for two-thirds of total sales, while masks account for 3 per cent, in terms of value. Drugstores hold a market share of 55 per cent. Private labels have a below average market share at 9 per cent, compared to other household categories. The average unit price has been fluctuating between HUF 1,093 and 1,296.
