Metro has won two prizes at the 12th at EHI Retail Institute’s Retail Technology Awards Europe in Düsseldorf in Germany. The Metro Companion app got the ‘best customer experience’ award, while the company’s blockchain-based data storage solution was declared the ‘best enterprise solution.’ Metro Companion allows customers to access price information about products by scanning a barcode, plus they can also view the total value of their shopping basket.
