Rossmann enters a new digital era: they are installing 30 new digital signage devices

Rossmann Magyarország has reached another milestone in its digital development: from mid-July innovative digital signage (DS) devices are appearing in Rossmann stores, playing an important role in providing information in-store.

Rossmann was among the first to introduce digital signage technology to the domestic drugstore market, installing its first DS devices in 2023 in Mammut II and in its Ferenc Boulevard store in Budapest.

The nationwide expansion really took off in January 2024 with the opening of the Rossmann store in Árkád – since then DS devices have been operating in 19 stores. From July 2025 another 30 stores joined the network and Rossmann’s goal is to use digital signage solutions in 150-200 locations by 2027.

“Digital displays allow us to communicate with our customers more quickly, more visually and in a more targeted fashion”,

explained Judit Ágnes Fehér, marketing team leader of Rossmann Magyarország.

DS devices can gradually replace paper posters in shop windows and Rossmann estimates that the chain’s annual paper consumption could reduce by several tonnes from 2026. (x)
