Digimeter 2024: Reorganization instead of digital catch-up
After 2020, 2021 and 2022, Digiméter assessed the level of digitization of domestic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for the fourth time.
The value of the main index, measured on a scale of 100, was 40 – the same value was 40 in 2020 and 2021, and 41 in 2022 – so it can be stated that there is still no significant change in the general degree of digitization of Hungarian companies. The financial area, which proved to be the most developed before, has matured further, but the other indices have not been able to catch up, despite the fact that some improvement can be seen in several sub-areas.
In order to make the data comparable, Digiméter examined the digitization of companies in 6 areas (Digital presence, Digital everyday life, Business management, Sales and marketing, Digital finance, IT security) with nearly 50 questions as usual. The telephone data collection took place in February 2024, the multi-stratified sample of 600 companies represents domestic small and medium-sized enterprises, for companies with 5-249 employees and sales revenue between HUF 10 million and HUF 18 billion.
