Demonstration for the Hungarian meat industry

The Union of Meat Industry Employees (HDSZ) organizes a nationwide demonstration in the next week. They will protest to protect the jobs in the meat industry – HDSZ told MTI on Tuesday.

In its communication, the union points out, that the fate of the Hungarian meat industry seems to have sealed, as well as the fate of the large companies employing hundreds of thousands. The previous competitive disadvantages were intensified by the entry into the European Union; the competition became stronger, while the central charges – such as VAT – have increased – the union points out.
