Deloitte: regional companies expect GDP growth of less than half a percent
The financial managers of Central European companies expect an average GDP growth of 0.33 percent this year compared to 2.3 percent in 2022; this year’s is close to the 0.25 percent expected in 2021, measured during the coronavirus epidemic, auditor Deloitte told MTI on Monday based on the latest survey.
In the announcement, it was indicated that in Hungary, more than half of the respondents, 56 percent, believe that the growth of the economy will be less than 0.5 percent.
Examining sectors, the most pessimistic companies are business and professional services (minus 86 percent), as well as the technology, media and telecommunications industry (minus 73 percent), but in all areas there was a decline compared to last year, they pointed out.
