Internet discrimination ends in December
According to the European Commission’s survey, 63 percent of the webshops in the EU do not allow online purchases from other Member States, which seriously hampers the completion of the single market and e-commerce within the European Union.
The geo-blocking regulation, which entered into force on 3 December, raises this discrimination.
According to the geo-blocking regulation, online merchants no longer have the option of applying different prices, as well as sales and payment conditions for citizenship, residency or establishment from 3 December.
