Consumer prices in the euro area also fell in December
In December last year, for the fifth month in a row, consumer prices fell on an annual basis in the euro area, according to a report published by the European Union’s statistical office, Eurostat, on Wednesday.
Consumer prices in the euro area fell 0.3 percent year-on-year in December. In July, consumer prices rose by 0.4 percent, but in August, prices fell by 0.2 percent year-on-year, and the agency reported a 0.3 percent drop in prices each month thereafter. (MTI)
