The first Lidl supermarket of Debrecen has been opened
Lidl’s 156th store in Hungary has been opened in Debrecen on 6 December under 31 Derék Street. This is the first Lidl store in Debrecen, so Somogyi Béla vice mayor also attended at the ceremonial opening. The 1,272 square meter store is waiting for customers with a wide range of products and 40 new employees. The store has a parking lot for 146 cars.
“An old dream came true that we were able to open our first store in Debrecen. Special thanks to the city's management for the lots of help during the construction and the approval processes.” – Grósz Jenő Lidl Hungary’s Chairman of the Board said. On the opening day a number of local actions, various gifts and surprises await the costumers. In the new store, more than 1,400 different products are available, large proportion of them are the very popular private label products.
