Customised glasses – made using 3D printing
Hoya and Materialise developed Yuniku, the world’s first 3D-tailored eyewear. The technology works as follows: the human face is scanned and based on this the perfect frame is designed and printed with a 3D printer. What is more, the lenses are also made the same way if necessary. Hoya Hungary managing director László Bácskai told that the technology debuts in Hungary this summer.
