Restaurants in England can be open until 10pm from Thursday
From Thursday, restaurants in England will only be open until ten o’clock in the evening to curb the coronavirus pandemic – British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s office said.
Johnson will hold a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, after which he will chair a meeting of the government’s Special Situations Advisory Board (COBRA) and announce new steps in the lower house in the afternoon and then in a television speech in the evening to slow the spread of the epidemic.
According to preliminary briefing from Downing Street, these will include that restaurants, pubs, bars and other eateries in England – by far the most populous part of the UK – will only be open from Thursday until 10pm. (MTI)
