Rossmann has introduced a packaging-free delivery option, which has been a great success
Last fall, Rossmann Hungary introduced a packaging-free delivery option. The essence of the initiative is that the packages delivered by their own courier service can be requested in a durable bag, from which we can unpack it and immediately return it to the courier so that they can use it again the next time.
In less than half a year, 17,000 orders were placed in this way, saving more than 3 tons of paper waste. Rossmann’s packaging-free delivery option is the first initiative of its kind in the drugstore sector in Hungary, and nothing shows the success of the project, which started just half a year ago, than the fact that the number of people who chose this option when ordering has already exceeded 17,000, the drugstore chain says in a statement. The delivery method is extremely simple and convenient. When customers order online from Rossmann’s webshop, the products are placed in a durable, extremely reusable bag, which offers an ideal solution for transporting the products. Rossmann’s own car courier service arrives with the durable bag to customers, who can simply unpack the products at home, and then the courier takes the bag back so that it can be reused for another order.
