Packaging and environmental burden
The phasing out of single-use plastic packaging was the topic of the sixth roundtable discussion organised by the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih). According to a representative Nébih survey, 51 percent of consumers think food companies are using too much packaging. People are worried about the burden packaging materials put on the environment, but the survey also revealed that they estimate this to be many times bigger than it actually is. //
