Kaufland Reduces Plastic On Meat Packaging
Discounter Kaufland has introduced new packaging for its self-service mince meat, which uses 70% less plastic than before.
Instead of plastic, Kaufland uses now a cardboard carton with a thin plastic film to package the product, the retailer explained.
Advice on the packaging explains to the customer how to separate the substances in order to recycle them in a useful way. By separating the carton and plastic film, both substances can get recycled separately.
