IKEA is reducing its prices
Ikea is planning revolutionary changes in Germany, including massive price cuts and opening stores in city centers. The strategy announced by Walter Kadnar, CEO of Ikea in Germany, aims to bring stores closer to people living in cities.
Unlike the previous practice, when Ikea’s stores were built in suburban areas, they now plan to open stores in city centers as well. This was first successfully tested in Berlin, Munich and Ravensburg, where design studios were set up for clients.
As part of a wave of price cuts, Ikea will offer 2,600 products for less, including furniture and food. The reductions can reach up to 45 percent. In addition, the price of home delivery is also reduced, for example, the delivery of larger furniture now costs 39 euros.
