Tesco cuts price of plant-based foods
Tesco has announced a 20% discount off all chilled plant-based foods until 27 January.
The offer will be available in larger Tesco stores and spans across 190 chilled plant-based lines, from everyday staples to more innovative products, Grocery Gazette reports.
The retailer aims to support both regular plant-based shoppers and consumers looking to try something new, with an expansive range from tofu to meat-free burgers.
Shoppers can purchase popular brands at lower prices, including an 8-pack of Richmond Meat-Free Sausages for £1.90 from £2.40 and a 14-pack of Quorn Cocktail Sausages for £1.60 from £2.00.
The supermarket is also introducing new and exclusive launches, with Richmond growing its plant-based lines and The Tofoo Co introducing bigger packs of Naked and Smoked tofu.
Additionally, Tesco is adding All Plants to the chilled aisle with a range of burgers and plant-protein products.
Cauldron is also launching an exclusive Tesco range of flavoured tofu blocks and pieces to allow for convenient cooking.
The move builds on Tesco’s commitment to providing affordable offers, with the supermarket launching Everyday low prices on branded products this January.
