The unemployment rate in OECD countries fell in July
The average unemployment rate in the members of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) fell to 7.7 percent in July from the 8 percent in June.
According to data published on the OECD website, the rate in July is 2.5 percentage points higher than in the last month before the coronavirus pandemic in February.
In July, the number of unemployed in the OECD area fell by 1.6 million to 50 million 535 thousand. (MTI)
