Corteva’s agricultural sales dropped last year
The net sales of the Global agricultural company Corteva Agriscience, which is also present in Hungary, decreased by 3 percent to 13.8 billion USD last year from 14.28 billion USD of the previous year, primarily due to exchange rate fluctuations – the company told MTI.
Corteva’s market share in Hungary in 2018 was 10 percent in the pesticide business and 20 to 30 percent in the seed business. The division’s Szarvas seed plant is one of the world’s leading plants for hybrid maize seed processing. In addition to Hungarian customers, Szarvas seed is sold in, among others, the Italian, French, German, Russian and Ukrainian markets. (MTI)
