The world market price of corn has decreased
According to Tallage, the world market price of corn fell between September 9 and October 5 due to the arrival of the American crop on the market, the record volume of Brazilian exports and the European harvest.
The export price of corn produced in the USA dropped by $10 to $224 in November, $7 in December to $223, and $6 in January 2024 to $225/ton in the indicated period. In Argentina, the November-December delivery crop was traded at $223-225/ton at the same time. The November export price of Brazilian corn was 223 (-$7), December 227, and January 2024 230 dollars/ton. In Ukraine, the immediate port price (FOB) of the crop decreased by $39 ($208/ton). The spot market price of corn in Bulgaria and Romania was unchanged at 218 dollars/ton until October 5. In France, they traded for $217/tonne for the spot, $218-219/tonne (-$18) for November-December delivery.
The price of fodder corn has decreased significantly in our country
In Hungary, according to AKI PÁIR data, fodder corn changed hands at an average producer price of HUF 54.1 thousand/ton in the second week of October, which was 60 percent less than a year earlier. On October 20, the ISCC NUTS II sustainable feed corn quotation on the Budapest Stock Exchange was HUF 55,000, December and March 2024 were HUF 61,000, May 2024 was 62,000, and July 2024 was HUF 63,000/ton on October 20.
