Retail sales in the euro area fell in April
The euro area retail sales decreased in April, compared to the previous month, as a further sign of the weak domestic demand.
The European Union Statistical Office (Eurostat) announced on Wednesday that the seasonally adjusted data showed a decline of 0.4 percent in the 19-member euro area, while retail sales increased by 1.5 percent year-on-year in line with analyst expectations. (MTI)
