Danone’s quarterly revenue decreased
The revenue of the French food and beverage manufacturer Danone fell by 2.5 percent on an annual basis to 6.79 billion euros in the first quarter of this year, according to the company’s website.
The decrease in the indicator was partly caused by the deconsolidation of the Russian segment of dairy and vegetable products (EDP Russia). In March, Danone reported that it had received the necessary permission from the competent Russian authorities to sell its business in Russia, the loss from the deal is 1.2 billion euros.
Meanwhile, revenue on a comparable basis increased by 4.1 percent. The company itself calculated a minimally smaller quarterly revenue of 6.7 billion euros, and expected a 3.4 percent revenue increase on a comparable basis.
