The number of stores has decreased, but not by that much
Despite market difficulties, the decline in the number of stores did not jump in the first half of 2020 compared to previous years. Although the number of outlets decreased by 1,580 stores, there were more than that. True, within this, three times more closed from a convenience store than from a grocery store. But it is also true that the second semester is not over yet.
In the first half of 2020, the number of stores decreased by 1,580. In previous years, the store network has been leaning steadily year by year, but the decline in the number of stores in the first half of the year was greater in 2017 and 2018, but lower in 2019.
