The profits of Anheuser-Bush has increased beside declining beer consumption
The after tax profits of the world's largest brewing group, the Belgian-Brazilian-American Anheuser-Bush InBev without financial items was 891 million USD in the first quarter. 13.8 percent more than the 783 million USD of the first quarter of 2009.
Analysts expected 847 million USD. The profit was 475 million dollars with the financial items, which is 34 percent less than the 716 million of a year earlier.
Revenue increased to 8.327 billion USD compared to 8.197 billion USD – according to the Wednesday released interim report of the company. The Beer sales fell to 80.303 million hectoliters compared to the 84.086 million hectoliters of a year earlier – reports ProfitLine.hu.
