The restaurants in Budapest are performing well despite the decrease in their number
While the number of operating companies has declined steadily over the past three years, the remaining ones are performing well and their net revenue has increased – according to the Opten company information service provider.
Opten emphasized in its Communication on Wednesday that the number of employees in the catering market of Budapest is constantly expanding, but the players are primarily concerned with quality labor shortages. Almost 40,000 people work in Budapest’s restaurants and other units this year, opposed to last year’s 38,500 and 36,555 of 2015, while the number of operating companies fell by more than five hundred to 7008 last year.
