Declining turnover, but positive results for Pick Szeged
After last year's 64 billion HUF, PICK Szeged Ltd. expects a 58 billion HUF turnover – László Kovács, CEO of PICK Szeged Ltd. pointed out within the compass of a press conference held on 14th December.
The CEO pointed out that this result indeed needs to be handled as a success, in spite of the difficult cicumstances.
“Domestic sales have probably seen a 8-10 percent decrease this year, nevertheless our export-activity is getting stronger and stronger in the meanwhile. The greatest successes are linked to the German and Russian market, but Japanese sales have als been doubled” László Kovács has pointed out.
Pork has seen a major decrease in sales all over Europe, so this is not just a Hungarian trend. At the same time, customers are more interested in cheaper products, the CEO added.
