Cholesterol levels are falling in Western countries, but it is growing among the population of Asia
Cholesterol levels in Western countries are falling sharply, but increases a mong the population of low- and middle-income nations, especially in Asia, according to the largest research to date on cholesterol levels in countries around the world.
Hundreds of scientists from around the world, led by researchers at Imperial College London, took part in the study, which was published in the scientific journal The Nature on Wednesday.
The researchers used data from 102.6 million people to study the cholesterol levels of the population in 200 countries for 39 years between 1980 and 2018. (MTI)
