Magazine: High-turnover dairy products’ market positions generally improved
Value sales of cheese, fruit yoghurt, sour cream, curd, butter, kefir and plain yoghurt climbed 2-12 percent in December 2010-September 2011, from the previous comparable period. Total annual sales of the six product groups almost reached the HUF 180 billion level. In the examined period cheese value sales soared by 7 percent and volume sales dropped 2 percent. Sour cream value sales grew 12 percent but volumes sales dropped 3 percent. Fruit yoghurt value sales were up 8 percent and volume sales were down 1 percent. Plain yoghurt and kefir: value sales increased by 2 percent but volume sales were stable with yoghurt and decreased by 6 percent with kefir.
