The ratio of the Slovak national foods are declining in the Slovakian outlets
The proportion of domestic food products steadily declining in the Slovakian stores since the country's accession to the EU, currently it is 39 percent – the survey of the Slovak Agricultural and Food Chamber (SPPK) shows.
According to the datas of SPPK, when Slovakia joined the European Union in 2004, the share of locally produced foods in Slovakia stores was more than 60 percent. Since then, the rate is steadily declining. In 2011, fell below for the first time under 50 percent, in 2013 a new negative record occured: only 39 percent. (Starovic Tibor, MTI)
