Prankster Elves Help with Holiday Charity at Auchan
Every year, Auchan makes sure to work with customers to make the holiday season more beautiful with small, but collectively meaningful gestures. This year, Auchan will donate 500 forints for every Prankster Elf purchased to support three good causes that help children. In addition, in keeping with tradition, the department store chain is also announcing a joint Christmas food and cleaning product collection with the Hungarian Red Cross for two consecutive weekends under the name “A Package of Love”, and during this year’s collection, special attention is paid to those living with food sensitivities, and gluten-, lactose- and sugar-free products are also expected.
From the price of every Csínytevő Eló sold, the department store chain will donate 500 forints to the SOS Children’s Villages Kuckó Program, the Semmelweis Children’s Clinic’s #MRre Futunk program, and the “Mindenjó” Program for the Together for Cancerous Children Foundation. The common goal of all three programs is to create a supportive, safe and friendly environment for children who are in difficult life situations, are sick or recovering, where they have the opportunity to recharge, overcome their fears and build their physical and mental resources in a community, playfully or in a therapeutic setting. The Christmas Prankster, which can be purchased for 1999 forints, not only serves a good cause, but can also be a perfect gift idea for our loved ones. It also stands out as a charming home decoration during the festive season, thus bringing joy to the recipient and supporting families in need at the same time.
“A Package of Love”
Auchan is organizing the “A Package of Love” program during the Christmas period together with the Hungarian Red Cross, which has been held in all 24 Auchan stores for the fifth year. During the collection, customers can donate non-perishable food and hygiene products, and the donations received will be given to various groups in need: families living in poverty, single people, the elderly, and residents of social institutions. Auchan Hungary Kft. will supplement customer donations with a grant of 1 million forints.
The greatest benefit will be provided by products such as canned vegetables, fruit, and meat, legumes, rice, bulgur, pasta, jam, honey, tea, cocoa powder, cereal, baby food, sweets, and toiletries. During this year’s collection, special attention will be paid to those living with food sensitivities, so gluten-, lactose-, and sugar-free products are also expected. The collection will take place on November 28–30 and December 5–7. takes place at the collection points of the stores, and the donations reach needy families living in the vicinity of the stores with the help of the Red Cross, so every small package means real help during the holidays.
