Retail sales stagnated in September in the Czech Republic
In August, year-on-year, there was a net 1.5 percent increase calendar effect adjusted.
Excluding calendar effects, there was a 0.4 percent year-on-year increase in September. While food sales fell 2.1 percent, manufactured goods rose 2.6 percent. Fuel sales fell 1.1 percent.
“In September, sales of only a few manufactured goods, household and construction supplies, computers and similar equipment, and health goods and medicines increased,” pointed out Marie Bousková, director of the statistical office. (Kokes János, MTI)
