In the Czech Republic, the number of tourists last year fell by half from the average of previous years
The number of tourists in the Czech Republic fell to 10.8 million last year. It is half the average of the previous years, the Czech Statistical Office (CSÚ) said.
The annual decline is 51 percent and is basically a consequence of the coronavirus pandemic. The number of foreign tourists fell by 73 percent.
Tourists spent 31.2 million guest nights in commercial accommodations, which is a 45.3 percent year-over-year decrease. (MTI)
