Meat business branch of Globus bought by Czech buyer
Hamé of the Czech Republic has acquired the French-owned meat-processing department of Globus in Budapest, which had a turnover of 5 billion HUF last year.
Because of the economic crisis, the rising costs and due to the decreasing demand, Globus has stopped the production of its canned meat products. The Czechs outmatched the meat products of Globus, with their Hungarian-flavored pasties from the stores shelves. The last year's turnover of Hamé was of 2.4 billion HUF – reports Magyar Hírlap Online.
