Almost nine tons of waste was collected in the II. Bodrogi PET Cup
Almost nine tons, a total of 1256 bags of waste were collected in the II. Bodrogi PET Cup. The record amount of waste was collected by the teams participating in the program on the section of the river between Sárospatak and Bodrogkeresztúr in four days, the Termeszetfilm.hu Association, which organized the event, told MTI on Wednesday.
Thanks to the second environmental program on the Bodrog River, some floodplain areas have been completely cleaned up. A total of six pet boats and three canoe teams joined the race. The PET Cup made from recycled Tisza waste was taken over by the Siemens Rowing-SÖK team, which collected 331 bags of waste, and the volunteers also received the Bodrog Hero Award, as they collected the most per capita waste in the competition, the announcement reads.
