It is possible to estimate the loss of fruits only a couple of weeks later, according to FruitVeB
The damage caused by the frost and the bad weather can be estimated only a couple of weeks later – according to the Hungarian Vegetable and Fruit Interprofessional Organization and Product Board (FruitVeB).
In the days following the frost and in the following few weeks, only the damage to flowers and small fruits can be measured.
They added, however, that the damage at this time did not match the final crop damage, as 20-50 percent of the flowers or fruit starts can produce the whole crop. (MTI)
