Coop Launches reCIRCLE Reusable Boxes In Switzerland
Coop Switzerland has announced that it has rolled out reusable boxes offered by reCIRCLE in all its 182 Coop restaurants and Coop Take It in the country.
The move will help in reducing the use of disposable containers in takeaway services.
In March of this year, the retail giant launched a pilot project to test the concept in Basel.
reCIRCLE is one of the first Swiss reusable systems for takeaway packaging that offers an alternative to disposable tableware.
Over the years, Coop has taken several steps to cut the use of plastic and packaging materials.
Since 2012, it has reduced around 20,000 tonnes of packaging materials.
