Cofidis: 40 percent of the population repay loans
Currently, 40 percent of the 18-69 year-olds are repaying loans loans, while the ratio of new borrowers has not changed since last year, compared to the entire population. While in a multiannual perspective, however, a slow but steady downward trend can be observed – according to the latest representative Credit Monitor research of Cofidis.
Popular personal loan
In July 2015, 40 percent of the Hungarian population paid the installment of some kind of credit. The most common type of prepaid credit is still the home loan, the repayment of home loans currently affects 15 percent of all the loan repaying population. In the past one year, 19 percent of the population reported about using new loans, just like as three months ago, while compared to the previous quarter, 9 percent took up a loan, which is 2 percentage points higher rate than it was experienced during the April 2015 measurement.
