CIB: the population will spend 8 percent more this Christmas than in last year
Compared to last year, the Hungarian population will spend about 8 percent more, on average 42 900 HUF for Christmas and three quarters of them will cover the costs of the Christmas holiday from their current monthly income – according to the representative research that was commissioned by NRC on behalf of CIB Bank.
According to a statement of the bank sent to MTI, the number of those who use their savings increased slightly. 34 percent of the respondents said that they will use their savings for this purpose, compared to last year’s 31 percent.
They say that there is no change in the proportion of borrowers for Cristmas. Their ratio remained 4 percent, most of them are planning a loan between 25,000 and 50,000 forints. (MTI)
