CIB: growth is expected to be around 4 percent this year
This year, CIB Bank analysts report an economic growth may be close to four percent, with inflation below three percent, and loose monetary policy – Trippon Mariann, chief analyst of the financial institution said at a press conference in Budapest on Friday.
According to the Bank’s forecast, this year’s rate of deterioration will be 2.3 percent on an annual average, which may reach 2.7 percent by the end of 2018.
She emphasized that last year, the Hungarian economy closed a very strong year. The growth can continue this year, which will continue to be driven by domestic demand. Consumption of households will continue to grow, and growth can be largely contributed by EU sources – she added.
